PLATFORM_ shortlisted for two Estates Gazette Awards 2025!

We’re delighted to share some exciting news! PLATFORM_ has been shortlisted for two Estates Gazette Awards 2025 – BTR Deal of the Year and Sustainability Initiative of the Year.

The Estates Gazette Awards are a leading source of recognition in the property sector, celebrating ground-breaking innovation and investment. The Awards celebrate the people and businesses driving deals, shaping towns and cities, and setting new standards for excellence, including achievements by Build-to-Rent developers

BTR Deal of the Year recognises standout Build-to-Rent focused transactions in the UK. Our nomination for the £150m joint venture with Housing Growth Partnership demonstrates the significance of Sweetfields in regenerating the South Bank area of Leeds. Sweetfields, our first mixed-use development, will deliver more than 1,350 BTR homes and 150,000 sq ft of commercial space, with the first phase delivering 451 homes.

Alongside new homes and commercial spaces, Sweetfields will create lasting economic impact, delivering 360 full-time equivalent jobs during construction and supporting more than 1,000 permanent roles once complete. Find out more about Sweetfields here.

Sustainability Initiative of the Year celebrates companies in the built environment that demonstrate clear progress towards net zero, highlighting the measures taken, milestones achieved, and their real-world impact. Our nomination recognises the launch and implementation of our ESG strategy, Nurturing Neighbourhoods. Environmental sustainability is a core value at PLATFORM_, embedded across our development pipeline, asset management, and operations. Central to this strategy is our commitment for all assets to reach net zero in operation by 2030.

Our sustainability commitments are already delivering results: 100% of active schemes across our portfolio now incorporate photovoltaic solar panels, covering more than 18,000 sq ft. In construction, 99% of waste has been diverted from landfill and 95% recycled, emphasising our role in minimising environmental impact.
