We can all admit that we don’t always choose to incorporate the healthiest possible habits within our lifestyles. Overworking, indulging in delicious but unhealthy snacks, drinking or smoking, not exercising enough are all factors that can often leave us feel bogged down. This is a clear sign that you are in need of some body cleansing.
You don’t have to follow a strict detox plan to effectively cleanse your body. In fact, there are easy hacks that help your body detoxify itself; all you have to do is be consistent with following them.
We decided to share with you four simple and effective ways to get rid of the bad toxins and revive your body.
Start your days with a glass of lemon water. Squeeze half a lemon in your glass; and, if possible, add lemon to your water throughout the whole day. Remember it’s important the water to be either warm or room temperature because cold drinks (especially in the mornings) can shock your organism and slow down the digestion process.
Lemons are a great source of nutrients like vitamin C, potassium and pectin fiber. These will help with cleansing your body of toxins. Citrus fruits, such as this one, also hold a natural form of citric acid which clears waste from the digestive tract and helps the digestion process by breaking down fat molecules. So, improve your health by adding a natural cleansing element like lemon juice to your day.
Detox smoothies are one of the most convenient ways to improve your dietary habits. Most recipes take only a few minutes to prepare which makes it easy to incorporate them into your busy schedules.
It is safe to say that detox smoothies are an easy, natural and absolutely tasty way to get a detoxifying cleanse. Good detox smoothie recipes normally include different combinations of leafy greens and fresh fruits and vegetables. They are packed with health-boosting nutrients and, accordingly, purge toxins and waste products, improve energy levels, and just make you feel good in general. We always recommend to use organic products to avoid residual pesticide content.

Epsom salt baths
An Epsom salt bath is an effective way of improving your health overall. Firstly, taking a warm bath in general is great for cleansing your skin. When your skin is warmed, the pores open up and toxins in the surface layers are removed. The warmth also improves your blood flow. Secondly, by adding Epsom salts (or alternatively sea salts) you can turn a regular bath into an enhanced detoxifying ritual.
So what’s the big deal with Epsom salts? When Epsom salts, scientifically known as hydrated magnesium sulfate, are dissolved in water they release magnesium and sulfates. These minerals are then absorbed through the skin and help to draw out toxins from your body. According to the Epsom Salt Industry Council, a simple soak in an Epsom salt bath also eases muscle pain, reduces swelling, relieves stress, can lower blood pressure and soften your skin, while also being beneficial to the heart and circulatory system.
If you want to try this out, go to your nearest drugstore or supermarket and get yourself some Epsom salts! To prepare a bath, dissolve 2 cups of Epsom salts in a regular-sized bath. Soak for at least 12 minutes and as much as 20 minutes. Once you are done soaking, shower off quickly in cool water and then towel dry. If you want you can apply a natural moisturiser, but make sure it doesn’t consist of any perfumes, dyes or chemicals.
Good old sweat
That’s right! You heard me! Sweating has been proven to help with excreting toxins. In fact, many toxins, such as insecticides, herbicides, solvents, toxic metals and normal metabolic body waste material, are stored in our fat tissue. When your body is heated to a sweat, the speed of the normal metabolic breakdown process of fat tissue is increased. To put in simpler terms, toxins are more quickly flushed from your body when you sweat.
Exercise is the most effective way to induce sweating. The hardest part about committing to this form of body detox is actually finding the motivation to work out, especially when having a busy schedule. But exercising doesn’t have to be a bore! Find a workout buddy and decide what kind of activity you will enjoy the most. From a 30-min run or a short aerobics session to hot yoga, make sure you choose something that you can easily fit in your lifestyle!
