Who is PLATFORM_?

PLATFORM_ is a professional landlord who is spearheading the evolution of renting across the UK. We provide busy working professionals with an elevated lifestyle. Whether you are working remotely, hosting on the weekend or taking a yoga class in your in-house studio, your PLATFORM_ home offers a range of amenity spaces so that you can wind down after a long day.

How do I move in?

The first step is to call us on 0333 444 0069 to book a viewing with us, once you have selected which PLATFORM_ building you want to move into. Our enquiries team are always ready to answer any questions you might have! From your viewing onwards, you will be looked after by one of our Lettings Ambassadors, who will guide you through each step of the way until the day of your move-in. Our on-site Concierge will take over from there, and you will also be able to reach our Customer Service Coordinators if you need help with anything.

How do I book a viewing?

Call us on 0333 444 0069 or email us on enquiries@platform.life, and we will show you around your building of choice!

I love this! Tell me more about the reservation process.

In order to reserve your PLATFORM_ apartment, we ask that you pay a £150 holding fee. We can only reserve a unit for six weeks, however, we do keep a wait list for those of you who desire a later move-in date. Please note all payments need to be made from a UK bank account, as we cannot accept payments from overseas accounts.

Amenity spaces

Each PLATFORM_ comes with a range of amenity spaces – depending on the location. Our sites include a combination of the following: an exclusive roof terrace, gym, a yoga studio, a lounge, a dining area and of course, an on-site concierge.

Smart Tech

We champion a connected lifestyle. This is why we installed Nest in all our apartments. With the Nest app, you can remotely control the home climate of your apartment, all through your smartphone.

Events

We organise events for our residents to enjoy their time at PLATFORM_ and to meet their neighbours. In the past, these have included wine tastings, Christmas parties, movie nights, yoga classes and meet & greets with local politicians.

About the local area

We are always updating our local guides here on our blog – stay tuned! If your business would like to be featured, please contact our team at feedback@platform.life.

Availability and pricing of units

We are leasing our units at a fast rate. We currently have most unit types available, and we keep a wait list for the unit types that are leased. Please contact enquiries@platform.life or call us on 0333 444 0069 for the most up to date availability.

Add-ons: Parking

We have an on-site parking add-on option for our residents. One PLATFORM_ parking license costs £75 per calendar month in Bedford, Bracknell, Crawley and Stevenage, and £100 per month in Exeter.

Add-ons: Pets

We love your furry friends! We always strive to make living at PLATFORM_ the optimal renting experience, and unlike many other operators, we welcome your pets. The cost per pet (subject to approval) is £25 for cats and £50 for dogs per calendar month, and you will also need to pay a pet deposit of £250.

Add-ons: Furniture

Our hand-picked, optional furniture pack can be rented for £75 per month (studio & 1-bed) and £100 per month (2-bed). They include a bed (two beds for a 2-bed apartment), a sofa and a dining table with two chairs (or four chairs for a 2-bed apartment).

Add-ons: Upgraded Internet

For only £31.50 per month, you can benefit from high-speed internet of up to 50 Mbps (upload and download). For an additional £3.50 per month, you get 100 Mpbs!

Admin charges

Each applicant must pay a holding fee of £150 to reserve a property. If a Guarantor is required as part of the referencing, they must also pay an admin fee of £150. These fees cover the cost of referencing checks and our administration time. There are no fees for renewal, however we charge a check out fee of £120+VAT. A full list of our fees and charges can be found within our Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreement, which you will receive prior to moving in. Again, please note that all payments need to be made from a UK bank account, as we cannot accept payments from overseas accounts.

Referencing Process

Once you have agreed to take a property and paid the holding fee(s), our Applications team will send you a link to our online referencing form. We will also request that you provide us with your passport or driving license along with a proof of address. If you are non-UK resident, you will also be expected to provide your ‘Right to Rent’ documentation including your Passport and a valid Resident Permit or VISA.

Notice periods

We offer 12 month tenancies as standard, however, longer term tenancies of up to 3 years are available. These include break options at each 12 month anniversary. With our standard 12 month AST, we will be in touch with you at least two months before the end of your tenancy to confirm whether you wish to renew your agreement or vacate the property. Should you wish to vacate, the property will be put back on the market and we will begin remarketing. If you wish to renew, we will agree new terms and issue you with a new tenancy agreement, commencing on the day after your previous tenancy expires.
